Waiting on Wednesday (3)

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at breaking the spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Title: The Forsaken
Author: Lisa M.Stasse
Published: July 10th 2012

This book came out yesterday and  it seems promising.

Summary:
As an obedient orphan of the U.N.A (the super-country that was once Mexico, the U.S, and Canada),  Alenna learned at an early age to blend in and be quiet-having your parents taken by the police will do
that to a girl. But Alenna can't help but stand out when she fails a test that all sixteen-year-olds have to take: The test says she has a high capacity for brutal violence, and so she is sent to The Wheel, and island where all would-be criminals end up.

The life expectancy of prisoners on The Wheel is just two years, but with dirty, violent, and chaotic conditions, the time seems a lot longer as Alenna is force to deal with civil wars for land ownership and machines that snatch kids out of their makeshift homes. Desperate, she and the other prisoners concoct a potentially fatal to flee the island. Survival may seem impossible, but Alenna is determined to achieve it anyway.

Feature and Follow (5)

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by  Alison Can Read  and  Parajunkee Q: What is the BIGGEST word you've seen used in a book lately - that made you stop and look it up? Might as well leave the definition & book too. A: To be honest, none. I haven't seen a word that I had to look up. Of course I have seen words I don't know, but I have understood them, since I understood the rest of the sentence.

Feature and Follow

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by  Alison Can Read  and  Parajunkee Q: Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you've read and loved ? A: The worst cover on a book I have read and loved must be Freaky Green Eyes by Joyce Carol Oates. I really liked that book, it was great! But the cover was so disturbing. Just take a look: Very ugly right?  BTW: Gærne grønne øyne mens Freaky green eyes. This is how the Norwegians book looks like. BTW2: I have a giveaway on my blog, check it out:  giveaway
